This is life changing!
For as long as I can remember I have been given the advice to Think happy thoughts and Be positive, and that’s great advice.
But, in order to be able to do so we need to understand how our thoughts and feelings are connected.
When I finally understood that my thoughts are creating my feelings I was blown away with the power of this!
This means that I can actually control and choose how I feel by controlling and choosing what thoughts I’m having.
Let me give you an example.
Say that I’m having a bad day and feeling sad. I then go and examine what thoughts I’m having that’s creating the feeling of sadness.
Say I find myself thinking that I’m a bad mother because of something that happened earlier that day.
I can then go ask myself if it’s really true that I’m a bad mother?
I help myself gather evidence that I’m in fact a very good mother and I choose to believe in that evidence, and voila!
I have now changed the way I think about myself and therefore I have also changed the way I feel and I will now go through this day with a whole other attitude and do things accordingly.
This is SO powerful!
